Q: Do I need to have a plan of my pool design, or pool?
A: No, at Adelaide Mirage Pools, we can provide you with innovative ideas to create your own unique design. Of course, if you already have your own pool design, we can make that a reality too
Q: What is the estimated time frame from start to completion, to build a new concrete swimming pool?
A: From the time of signing the contract, obtaining Council approvals, trades availability and weather permitting, a custom concrete pool can be completed in approximately 12 weeks. However, please note that Council approval times may vary, with some Councils taking longer than others
Q: What is involved in constructing a concrete pool?
A: Once the Council approval has been obtained, the swimming pool will be marked out on the ground. The excavation will now begin and all of the excess soil removed. The steel cage will be tied together and all of the internal plumbing and any lights put in place.
The formwork will then be constructed and the pool is ready to be sprayed with concrete.
Once the concrete has set, the formwork will be removed and the interior surface and pool coping will be completed.
At this stage, the pool is almost finished with the filtration, final plumbing and heating being installed.
The pool fence must be installed prior to the pool being filled with water, as per Government legislation.
Once the pool is full, the appropriate chemicals will be added to ensure the water is sanitised and safe to swim in.
The final hand over will be completed and you are ready to swim!
